Saltus Year Four teacher and past Saltus Green Team Leader, Ms. Erika Powell, organized the clean up and reported that the equivalent of 21 bags of regular trash and 13 bags of recyclables plus a few bulky items found on the beach were collected. Saltus is part of KBB's Adopt-a-Spot initiative and has adopted John Smith's Bay which involves two clean ups per year.
