Profile Angelo PimentalAngelo PimentalOccupation?
I am currently a tutor at the Reading Clinic. I work with children who have dyslexia or learning differences to improve their reading, spelling and basic math skills, through teaching strategies and building self-confidence. I am also a social media manager for a few small businesses and charities, working to consistently deliver their message online.

What motivates you out of bed in the mornings?
My family. I tend to get up at the crack of dawn to feed 'The Ladies', 6 chickens who supply my family with fresh eggs, nurse Layla '羊羊 Yang Yang' The Lamb, and tend my vegetable gardens.

What would you like to see change in your lifetime?
I would like to see society reconnect with our natural environment. I would like to see an increased awareness as to how damaging our consumption patterns are, so that we can make wiser purchasing decisions. I would also like to see more people growing their own food, or at least eating more locally produced products.

Why should we care about Bermuda's development?
Bermuda is a very unique place, with stunning natural beauty and great biodiversity. It is up to all of us to play our part to protect, and restore our environment for the benefit of future generations. Whether it be through land conservation, marine parks or educating our children, we must do what is necessary to keep Bermuda the paradise that it is.

Occupation?

I worked as a Systems Analyst at a benefits consulting firm and as a Mechanical Engineer specializing in building automation.

What motivates you out of bed in the mornings?

My wife, our two cats who think the entire family should get up before the sun rises and the fact I am fortunate enough to be able to be living on one of the most beautiful places in the world.

What would you like to see change in your lifetime?

I would like to see significant investments in renewable energy and technologies so that the world can become totally independent of oil and coal in my lifetime. I would like for all people to understand and care about the impact their actions have on the environment and I'd like to see a sustainable lifestyle become part of everyone's daily routine.

Why should we care about Bermuda's development?

Because Bermuda rocks...and it is a rock...a very small one with limited space, but major potential. Growth in Bermuda needs to occur in a sustainable fashion in order to preserve this amazing place for future generations.

profile-rolisaRolisa CamilleI received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario in 2002 and upon returning to Bermuda, I discovered my deep love for holistic health and metaphysics. Since which, I have accelerated on my spiritual journey; acquiring my level 2 Reiki Certification and currently am in the process of completing my Holistic Health Coaching and Master Numerology Certifications.

Occupation:
A Clinical Assistant in Children and Adolescence Services and a Reiki Practitioner.

What motivates me to get out of my bed in the mornings?
Love, as my better half calls me every morning to wake me up, and my vision of positively impacting humanity.

What would you like to see change in your lifetime?
A greater awareness of the interconnectedness of all things, thus promoting a shift to a more harmonious, cooperative, peaceful and loving world.

Why should we care about Bermuda's development?
Bermuda is truly a gem and there is no other place quite like it on earth. I want to ensure that future generations also get to marvel in its beauty and share its uniqueness and wonder with the rest of the world, as I have had the privilege of doing. You may think you are only one person so your choices don't make a difference but that is all there ever is; one person making a choice, that can create a ripple effect. We must raise the consciousness of our country to see that the choices we make right now create the future. What do you envision for the Future Bermuda?

What is your occupation?

Mechanical engineer and co-owner of BESCO

What motivates you to get out of bed in the mornings?

My wife, my pets and last but not least golf on the weekends!

What would you like to see change in your lifetime?

A greater independence on oil for our energy needs. Technological developments are moving at a faster and faster pace and there is no reason why our small island cannot provide for most of its energy needs from a combination of improved energy efficiency and residential/commercial sized renewable energy systems.

Why should we care about Bermuda's environment?

It is our home and making the wrong choices will have a large and permanent impact on our tiny fragile environment.
